Burn Out

Thanks so much for all the time and effort you put into creating you excellent podcast. Your commitment to excellence and attention to details shows in your work. Having just purchased my first digital camcorder, I have found your podcasts to be an invaluable resource as I work toward creating video podcasts for my real estate business.

I feel for you about the burnout thing – believe me, doing a show every day (including those days when you’d really rather not) can take its toll. A couple of things have helped me keep going over time…

… Parents and students saying, “wow, you helped me out”…

… Audience contributions.

On #1, I can say that your show has made me… well, not necessarily a great videographer by any means, BUT I definitely suck less!

And #2 – you could always ask your audience to submit a guest “Izzy Video” episode or three and see what other cool things people are doing!

I totally agree with Christopher Penn- Izzy Video has been a huge asset to me (a student videographer). Certainly, audience contributions would be a really cool idea to incorporate into Izzy Video.

I will add that great things come from people who are passionate about what they do. Take as long as you need to “recover” that passion. And, when you’re ready, I’m sure you’re passion will fuel many more great tutorials!

These podcasts are EXACTLY what I was looking for to help me get ideas when using my camcorder.

Your explanations couldn’t be better and the podcast format and length is ideal.

I don’t suppose you could do a lesson on how to get recorded mini disc audio onto a computer, could you?? My Sharp MD-MT90H seems to lack the correct ports. Ho hum!

Anyway, well done for all your hard work! I’ve just made a donation and hope to download the next episode soon.
