How to Convert Original Camera Clips Into ProRes Quicktime Files – Izzy Video 286

I’m planning a series of videos that demonstrate some workflow changes I’ve made for managing all my footage.

This first video in the series shows how I convert camera footage into Quicktime ProRes clips. It’s one of the first things I do now, and you’ll see in this video how the process works.

I hope you find it helpful!

  1. Izzy, I just purchased a New I mac Retina and I am contemplating the purchase of Final Cut Pro. I am planning on editing all my video tapes which I have taken to Costco to transfer onto DVD. They send them to “YES” video to copy to DVD.

a few questions. They “YES” video, tell me that I need to use Handbrake to Convert their VOB files to .MP4 for MAC.

Since these are home videos and old old family 8mm and super 8 film what would you suggest for me to use ” I Movie” or “Final Cut Pro?” Over 100 video tapes and over 125 8 mm.

I have been looking at your video introductions and like your style , its casual and seems fun I’m also looking at one of your competitors […]. However. I am leaning heavily towards your site to use for editing.
