3D Ken Burns Effect – Izzy Video 282

First, please watch the short video clip above to see what I’m talking about when I refer to the 3D Ken Burns effect.

We all know (and love) the Ken Burns effect which adds visual interest to photographs in our videos, but you can make things even more interesting by adding 3D movement to your camera.

In this new video I demonstrate how to create this effect in Motion 5. In the end you’ll create an effect similar to Ken Burns, but the appearance will be a lot more three-dimensional.

I hope you find the video helpful! This video is for members who can watch it in the members’ library now. If you’re not yet a member, you can watch the above sample clip to see the effect in action, and you can click here to learn more about a membership.

  1. Hi Izzy,
Firstly, many thanks for the excellent Final Cut tutorials. The videos are great insightful compilations; they’re fun, articulate and comprehensive . Clearly a satisfied customer of the basic and advanced.
Izzy, advice regarding editing protocol when syncing separate soundtrack by way of clapper board. I have a scratch track from my D5 and syncing H4N sound by way of clapper. What is the preferred way to sync audio and video with the above approach?
