erm – you can’t get professional audio from consumer cameras – that’s why they’re called ‘consumer’

Au contraire, mon frere! (Probably misspelled)
When you watch this episode, you’ll see that you can get professional audio quality from a consumer video camera. I’ve done it for years. :-)

I’ve used the BeachTeck XLR adapter for years and it has been worth every penny. I’ve used it to connect high quality microphones to both my high end and low end cameras and the audio improvement is definitely noticable. I was glad to see you recommend this little device – worth every penny.

I have a Canon XL1S. What would you suggest for it? Thanks!
