The Website’s New Look
I’m done for the most part. I’ll probably do some tweaking here and there as I run into issues, but the majority of the Izzy Video upgrade is done.
I’m trying to improve Izzy Video as a quality resource, and the website’s new look is only part of the plan.

The site looks great, especially the banner photo. Nice.

Sorry to say but the new look looks unnecesery. Please change font color to black. It is hard to read content text and it takes longer…
BUT I LOVE YOUR SHOWS!!!

Hi Izzy,
I’m really loving your video podcasts – it’s obvious that you have a real knack for creating simple yet very educational tutorials. Great work!
The banner of you on a chess board at the top of the webpage is quite interesting. Like Christian, the idea of perhaps changing the font color to something a little darker might make text easier to read. All the best from Korea!
Cheers,
Paul

I agree with hoodoo and christian… I do think the banner of you on the chess board is VERY cool, but after seeing it every time I visit izzyvideo, it’s a bit much. Something smaller would be better in my opinion.
BTW – Where’d you get the large chess pieces from anyway, or did you you go somewhere to take that pic?

I like the new look. I can read the text just fine. Now bring on a new episode. :)

I’ve used this shade or two less than black text on web sites and I really like the effect, it helps keep things very tidy and clean, adds to the organisational structure (makes it easier to grasp) and looks and feels contemporary creating a “viewing mood” of competence and professionalism. In my experience a certain, not insignificant proportion of people are put off by the lack of contrast. It’s a difficult call, I bet you’d like to please everyone and that’s not possible. I like it.
Your site comes highly recommended. I look forward to using it.
