Izzy Video 046 – The Pleasantville Effect

izzyvideo46

I received an overwhelming audience request to post small versions of all the videos, so I’m doing just that.

This is the same video tutorial, only much smaller.

The text from the original post went like this:

Time for another screencast. I had someone ask me this week how to do the “Pleasantville Effect” in Final Cut Pro. This installment of Izzy Video shows you exactly how to do it.

This video is available to members only.

I tried your pleasantville effect using some red roses being carried during a wedding, but I found that there were some other reds that came out in the clip also. I was able to get rid of most of them by narrowing the color correction, but not all of them. Do you have a solution?

I have tried your Pleasantville effect and it worked for one
color. My question is how would I make the little girl
in your video be in color with the background in
black and white ( I know to apply the inverse, but
I don’t know how to select the several different colors
at once, selecting the little girl.

Does green screen fit in anywhere?
