Learn Final Cut Pro 6: The Izzy Video Guide for Beginners

Are you new to Final Cut Pro?

Do you want to learn Final Cut Pro, but not from a book? (The FCP manual is 2,000 pages long!)

Final Cut Pro 6 is a deep and powerful application, but it’s not easy to learn without some formal instruction.

When you sign up for my course, Learn Final Cut Pro 6: An Izzy Video Guide for Beginners, you will receive instant access to 38 web-based training videos which total more than 6 hours of training. All videos come in two sizes HD (1280×800 resolution) and Small (960×600 resolution).

Why take this course?

  • It’s visual. The videos are movies of my computer screen. You see onscreen how the various tools and concepts work.
  • Learn anywhere, anytime. Because all of the videos are downloadable, you can access them from any browser in the world, at any time of day. This gives you complete flexibility to learn Final Cut Pro when it’s convenient for you.
  • Pause, rewind, fast forward. You control the pace of your learning. You can watch portions of the videos multiple times if you’re trying to understand a difficult concept, for example.
  • Downloadable media for you to practice with. I provide you sample project files with media you can use to practice. It’s the same media I use in the tutorial videos. This gives you the ability to edit the same footage you see me editing.
  • The Izzy Video style of instruction. If you’ve seen my other videos, you know that I believe in boiling concepts down to fundamentals. I help viewers focus on fundamentals, and then once they are comfortable with them, they have a foundation they can build upon.
  • Solid content that you need to know. At the end of this course, you will know the basics of editing with Final Cut Pro 6.

What does it cost?

The price to register for this course is $59. This gives you lifetime access to the password-protected website where the videos are located.

If you are an Izzy Video Member (meaning you have a six month membership to the Izzy Video Tutorials), log into the members area to find a coupon code for $20 off the Final Cut Pro course! If you’re not an Izzy Video Member yet, this is another great reason to become one. By the way, members subscribe to this course a different way: login to your account page and simply add it to your subscriptions using the Add/Renew Drop-Down menu.

There are two payment options:

Option 1: Paypal

Option 2: Google Checkout

This option will get you immediate access to the video tutorials. You can pay with a Paypal account or with any major credit card.

If you don’t like Paypal, you can use this option. Please keep in mind that I must manually set up your account when you choose this option, so please allow 48 hours for me to do that.

* You can watch the videos with a regular web browser and Quicktime. However, if you want to use the practice project files, you will need Final Cut Studio 2 which includes Final Cut Pro 6. The project files which I include in my course only work in Final Cut Pro 6. Previous versions of Final Cut Pro will not be able to open the projects I provide to you.

What does the course cover?

Here is a complete list of all the chapter and lesson titles (along with some demo movies you can click on).

By the way, please visit www.apple.com/quicktime to get the most recent version of Quicktime. It’s free, and Apple releases new updates often. If the demo videos don’t play on your computer, most likely you’ll need to update Quicktime.
