The Slider Widget in Motion 5

Published on June 21, 2016

This video demonstrates a real-life situation where you might want to use a Slider Widget in Motion 5.

I ran into this when I was creating a template recently. I think it's a great example of how to use this kind of widget, so I decided to make this video and share it with you.

Here's the basic workflow:

  1. Create a Rig in your Motion project, because a Rig is basically the container for widgets.
  2. Add a Slider Widget to the Rig.
  3. Connect the parameters you want to control to the Slider Widget. (There are several ways to do this as you'll see in the video.)
  4. Adjust the settings for the parameters associated with the different Snapshots in the widget.

That's the basic workflow, and you can see the details in the video.

I'm a huge fan of Motion. I'm constantly blown away by it, especially knowing it has such a low price.

Anyway, I hope you find the video helpful!
