Izzy Video 158 – How to Reduce Echo in Your Video’s Audio

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this video.

Audio can be a big problem in your video. It’s especially challenging when you’re shooting in a room with hard floors, walls, tables, and ceilings. The sound waves bounce around and reduce the quality of your audio with echo. If you’ve ever tried to capture good audio for your video in a room with hard floors, you’ll like this tutorial. In it, I show you how to dramatically reduce (or even eliminate) echo from your audio.

That was great, being able to hear the difference in each clip. Good stuff!

Wow, Stephen! That was fast. I just posted the video a few minutes ago. :-)

Thanks, I’m glad you were able to hear the difference. I was a little worried that the audio improvements would be a little too subtle, especially without headphones. I’m glad to hear it worked though…

That was thanks to the magic of RSS feeds!

It was very effective, even through my laptop speakers. It’s a really important topic, too, I think. I never want to be in post-production with echoing audio!
