Hi everyone,

I am new to the video filming. However I did some work with photos before, but decided to switch to videos. I have a website that focuses on cycling and I wish to present some video tutorials/reviews. So I need a nice white background and nicely lit subject of the video. This is pretty much amateur work but I want to keep it to the highest standard possible while keeping my budget at some reasonable level. I'm doing this at home in my spare time, therefore I need something compact that I can set up and take down over the weekend and stash in the closet. My work area would be max 3m x 3m at most. This has to acomodate lights, camcorder on a tripod and bike + presenter. So not much room I guess is left for anything else and it's going to be rather squashy. But this is what I got and I have to suck it up and carry on.

I would like to get this effect, or at least something as close to it as possible: please see this link

I also found this short video that actually might work for me: please again see another link

I did some search on ebay and found this type of lights that I think would be good enough, but before I spend my money I need to make sure that I am on the right track, rather than buying and not being able to get any satisfying results. Here are the lights I am thinking of getting, please not that I can go with few different configurations:

1) 3x 2 lights kit

2) 2x 3 lights kit

Or any other from that particular seller (as he has nice selection I think). I live in Ireland so it's handy for me to buy from UK.

My other concerns for those lights are, how much electricity this set up will use (less is better). Not sure of the Watts power. I think that the bigger, the better so that background will be very over exposed = nice and white and I will have enough light to make subject well lit as well. I won't have room to put the background in but I have white walls, so I believe this will do. I was planning on going with 6 lights in total. I have no idea if this will give me enough light to have it as perfect as I can get with the space and budget I have. And I can always play with the configurations. Get maybe 4 lamps or 6 or whatever will do really.

I would really appreciate if someone could give me some advice here as I can't go ahead with my project without decent videos, but again spending all that money on something that might not produce good results will be a waste and another delay.

So please HELP :)

THANKS!
