I will very soon return to videography as a subject. I wanted to do that today, but the rain outside prevented me from covering the subject I had originally intended to do. We rarely get rain in Arizona!

Transitions are an important part of editing video. Apple’s iMovie, Final Cut Express, and Final Cut Pro (the three video editors I personally have some experience with) all come with a large number of transitions. With such a large number of choices, how do you know when to use what transition?
