    hello, i love the topics you come up with but i have never been able to view the video on my laptop. what soft ware will permit viewing? anyway, i got an ntsc canon hd camera and my country is a pal environment, what are the challenges I may face? I would like to subscribe but how do i remit the fee. my country does not use credit cards.

    Thanks for the kind note. To answer your questions:

    1. You will need Quicktime to view the videos (or another application that allows playing MP4 files with an H.264 codec). Quicktime is free and you can download it from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download.
    2. Your NTSC signal from the camera isn’t compatible with PAL, so you’ll have to convert from NTSC to PAL before playing it. This can be done, but can be time-consuming.
    3. I’m glad that you would like to subscribe, but you either need to use a credit card or Paypal. I prefer Paypal, so if you set up an account there (which is easy to do), that should help overcome your problems.

    Out of curiosity, what country are you in?
