    Thanks for sharing. I’m not sure why, but I really liked that a lot. It had to be professionally filmed.

    I was about to say the same thing as Hoodoo. I really liked it and don’t know why.

    I think it was the relationship of the images and the music.

    Are there any books or resources to learn how to think like a filmmaker? I really like video’s like this for their aesthetics. There’s an interesting Canadian commercial for Milk that you can find here http://www.jetfilms.com/ (choose english, second video at the bottom of the page)… It also uses Imagery and Music to set a mood. I would really like to learn how to do that.

    On another note, I did find the aspect ratio of the movie interesting. It was rectangular (Widescreen???)…. Most videos on the net are squared…

    I know why i loved it. To me, it was inspiration. The boy who was inspired by the rythmic waves gently lapping up onto the shore and in turn inspired the others to follow. In the end he became more than just the waves that inspired him but he soared over them and brought others along to do more than they ever imagined. Some, it seems, chose not to follow, but he didn’t let that slow him down.
    Or maybe it was just interesting.

    Beautiful, I loved the mode of the piece and the way they made use of the wide frame. I would say that it was shot on film given the limited depth of field, and dynamic range. Also, it looks to be 2.35:1 aspect ratio, so I would guess it was shot anamorphic or possibly 5 perf. 70mm.

    Technology aside, it is a really nice piece that grabs your attention and keeps it. The kids are wonderful to watch and the locations are fantastic (is that Iceland?) Pied Piper, lemmings to the sea, Peter Pan, and Jesus and the disciples, they were all conjured up for me as I watched.

    Two thumbs up.
