This guy - we’ll call him Joe (because that’s his name) - is part of the Izzy Video audience. After receiving a message from him, I went to his site, saw the opening video, died laughing, showed it to Noell, and she died laughing too.
This sort of reminds me of Jack Black craziness!
Welcome, Joe, to Izzy Video, where we can help you improve the cinematography of your wild antics.
I’m here for business, but I think Wednesday (tomorrow, Jan. 17th) night would be a good time to get together for a drink if anybody is interested and available?
I checked the download stats this morning and saw that we’re just over 1.6 million downloads of our podcasts with Glimpster. It won’t be long before we hit 2 million downloads.
That fact blows my mind.
Once again, our video podcasts are an example of how easy it is to distribute content online. How much would it cost via the old media to distribute shows 1.6 million times? I have no idea what the answer to that is, but my guess is that it’s more than we’re currently paying.
The web hosting we use at Dreamhost to host the websites is inexpensive and reliable. The bandwidth we get from Libsyn is extremely inexpensive, and we host all the video files there. All together, I think we’re spending maybe $50 per month. That’s an extremely low price to pay to get content to hundreds of thousands of people.
This is a new world we’re living in. Frankly it’s a world where your voice can be heard.
Many of the videos I watch on the web are too quiet. I think that’s because new producers tend to spend more time on editing video and not their audio.
There are many things that can make your audio sound better. One of them is simply making it louder. I like to use the Adaptive Limiter in Soundtrack Pro to increase the volume of my audio without clipping. How do you use the Adaptive Limiter? Just watch this installment of Izzy Video, and I’ll show you.
