We’ve been talking about it for a while, but the time has finally come to release Paperclipping: the Scrapbooking Video Podcast, hosted by my wife, Noell Hyman.
I’m also going to include the first episode in my Izzy Video RSS feed, so everybody has a chance to see it once and then decide if you, or someone you know, might want to subscribe.
It should be in iTunes, but the RSS Subscription address is http://feeds.feedburner.com/paperclipping.
You can download the first installment of Paperclipping here.
If you’re like me, and you have a spouse who says there isn’t enough scrapbooking video content on the internet, this might be something they’ll like!
The Paperclipping Website is www.paperclipping.com.

It’s frustrating. Over the weekend I spent several hours shooting footage for the next Izzy Video, only to have the tape eaten by my aging camera.
It has been a good camera, the Canon GL2. It’s hard to watch it die, but I’ve had it for over two years. I’m surprised it has lasted this long, considering how much I use it. Now I have to find a Canon service center to see if I can get it repaired. It’s the first time I’m sending it in for repair.
If it’s expensive, I might just get a new camera.
Anyway, I’ll likely be doing screencasts over the next few weeks while I wait for my camera to return repaired. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Please be patient. Izzy Video will return as soon as possible!
A fresh batch of the Apple “Get a Mac” commercials just came out, and my favorite is the one called “Self Pity.”
I know that many of you are Windows users, which is naturally just fine with me. Although I’m a fan of Apple computers, I’m not militant about it.
In fact, I’m running both Windows and Mac OS X on my new 17″ MacBook Pro. Finally, I don’t have to carry two notebooks around!

I was at my friend Eric Rice’s blog, and read his post saying that the Vloggies are still accepting submissions. It looks like Izzy Video was nominated for “Best Vlog” and “Best Educational Vlog”.
From the The Vloggies website:
The nominations process will close on Oct. 18 and the voting will begin on Oct. 20 and end on Oct. 27. So keep those nominations coming, and thank you for participating and recognizing this wonderful community!
I guess I’m a little too shy to nominate myself for anything, but I’m not too shy to beg for votes once voting starts.

Cinematography is more than framing an image. To me, it’s also the energy and momentum of an image. Or the lack of energy.
In this video tutorial, I briefly overview some options for adding energy to your imagery. It should be helpful whether you’re creating a video podcast, a short film, or just making family videos.
This video is available to members only.
